👋🏻 Welcome to My Beautifully Chaotic Life!

If you’ve stumbled across this little corner of the internet, welcome! I’m a wife, a mum, a dog lover, and someone living with chronic illnesses.

Life here is messy, unpredictable, sometimes downright exhausting, and often chaotic, but it’s also filled with love, laughter, and those small moments that make it all worthwhile.

We share our space with three dogs, two tortoises, a leopard print gecko, a goldfish that I inherited after my daddy passed away last September, and often a foster dog or two. 🐶🦎🐢🐠

While chronic illness is a part of my journey, it’s not the whole story and I do my best not to let it consume my whole life. I’m still learning how to slow down, focus on the present, and find joy in all the little things. This blog is a reflection of that journey, full of real moments, highs and lows, probably tears, and a lot of laughs in between.

So, grab a cup of tea (or something stronger if it’s been one of those days), and come along for the ride. I can’t wait to share this beautifully chaotic life with you.

✌🏼💜💫

  • 🥴 Hormonal Dance of Doom
Menopause is wild. Some days I feel okayish while other days I want to scream, cry, or nap in the fridge. Hormones go rogue, sleep disappears, and my patience? Yeah, she left the group chat a while ago. I stopped HRT this week, not because it wasn’t helping, but because the break from progesterone every…

  • 🐑 Wild Garlic Leg of Lamb Rub

Blend the rub: In a small food processor or pestle and mortar, mix the garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, rosemary, salt, pepper, and mustard (if using) until you get a…
  • 🥚 Paul’s Sourdough Yorkshire Puddings
INGREDIENTS Instructions 1. Make the batter: In a jug or mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, sourdough starter, and salt until smooth. Let it rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. You can even leave it overnight in the fridge if that’s easier. ⏲️ 2. Preheat the oven: Set your oven…
  • 💔 When Love Isn’t Enough – Losing Hugo
Some posts are harder to write than others, and this sure as hell was one of them. Hugo wasn’t just our dog. He was our gentle giant 🐾, our squishy-faced shadow who went everywhere with us. As soon as you put on your shoes 👟 or lifted your car keys 🔑, he was beside you,…
  • 😋 Northern Irish 15s
These are a firm favourite in our house when we’re craving something sweet, nostalgic, and just a bit extra. Paul whipped up a batch of these Northern Irish 15s recently, and honestly… there’s something about homemade that just hits differently. 🍒 If you’ve never had a 15 before, you’re in for a treat. They’re no-bake,…
