MEET THE ANIMALS

🐾 Welcome to the wild (but love-filled) chaos that is our home!

Here’s where you’ll meet the lovely crew who keep us on our toes and fill our days with laughter, love, and the occasional muddy paw print. From the dogs to the reptiles (and even a very fat fish), each one has their own quirks, charm, and way of stealing our hearts.

🌈 We sadly had to say goodbye to one of our beautiful boys, Hugo, recently. He’ll always be part of our story, just the same as Harvey, Lexie and Barney who have lost over the years. All four dogs were much more than “just pets.” They were part of our family, woven into our everyday chaos, routines, and memories. Each one brought their own kind of magic, and their absence is felt every single day.

Pet loss is heartbreak in its rawest form. But the love they gave, the lessons they taught, and the joy they brought will always stay with us. They’ll forever have a place in our hearts and on this page, where they belong. 💖

This page will also include whichever dog I’m fostering at the moment, so if you spot an extra wagging tail in our stories, this is the place to find out who it is! 😆

🐶 Gloria

Gloria is our 10-year-old Greyhound and the undisputed queen of the sofa. The phrase “get a Greyhound, lose a sofa” was made for her. She lives for cuddles, sunbathing, and pretending she runs the place (she kind of does).

🐶 Bob (aka Barkey Bob)

Bob is our 11-year-old Jack Russell with a serious obsession with food. He’s loud, proud, and 100% convinced the fridge door opens just for him. He may bark at absolutely everything, but we wouldn’t change him for the world.

🐶 Dougal

Dougal is a 6-year-old Chihuahua who’s small in size but massive in personality. He acts like he’s in charge, and to be fair, he kind of is. Full of sass and surprisingly bossy for his size. He’s got us all wrapped around his little paw.

🐢 Tommy & Greg

Tommy is our big tortoise with an even bigger backstory. We rescued him from living in a drawer (yes, really) with no light or space. No idea how old he is, but he loves dandelions, aloe vera, and knocking things over for fun. Greg is our younger tortoise and a bit of a spicy lad. He’s a biter, a climber, and totally convinced he should be an only child. We had to build a wall between him and Tommy. Tortoise drama is real.

🦎 Japana

Japana is our leopard-print gecko and full-blown diva. She came to us in poor shape, but now she’s thriving, healthy, chubby, and ready to strut her stuff. Loves crickets, warmth, and attention… just don’t touch her tail.

🐠 Herbie

Herbie is our Black Moor goldfish and the unexpected VIP of the living room. He came to us after my daddy passed away in September, and he’s been with us ever since. Quietly watching the chaos and judging us from his tank. Possibly the fattest fish I’ve ever seen.

These wild, wonderful souls might drive me a bit mad sometimes, but they’re also the heart of our home and the reason no day is ever boring.
